But the key to mastery is recognizing that keto works because it retrains your metabolism, not because fat itself is magical. Consume enough fat to feel satiated and energized, but don’t drown your meals in butter just because someone online said fat is limitless.

Protein, on the other hand, is essential. Many people fear protein on keto due to misconceptions about it “kicking them out” of ketosis. The truth is more nuanced. Protein supports muscle, hormones, and enzyme function. It’s a pillar of metabolic health. The danger isn’t protein—it’s neglect. Learn to listen to your hunger, monitor your performance, and treat macros as a compass guiding your individual needs, not as a rigid map.
