If your phone, friends, or television constantly push fear, outrage, or despair, they reinforce a biased worldview. Neutral thinking demands a clean environment—one where facts dominate feelings. You start by monitoring your own words. Every time you talk about yourself, you’re building a mental story. Keep it factual. Keep it forward-oriented.

By curating your internal dialogue, you regain mental control. I’ve watched quarterbacks use neutral scripting to handle mistakes, business leaders use it to endure crises, and soldiers employ it to survive combat stress. The common thread is conscious language discipline. Once you treat words as tools—not emotional outbursts—you start designing your mindset rather than enduring it.
