Key Chapters

Let us begin with the law itself—the principle at the heart of every miracle and every misfortune alike. The conscious mind is the gatekeeper, and feeling is the key that unlocks the subconscious. When the conscious impresses an idea upon the subconscious through feeling, that idea takes root and begins its journey toward external expression. The law is infallible: whatever you accept emotionally as true will manifest.

It is not enough merely to think an idea; thoughts without emotional conviction remain sterile. The subconscious responds only to feeling, and whatever you feel as true becomes a fact in your world. If you feel lack, it manifests as scarcity; if you feel abundance, you call richness into form. Thus, emotion is not a reaction to life’s conditions—it is the cause of them. Realize this, and you begin to reverse the old order of things. You stop being a passive receiver of circumstances and become the deliberate chooser of them.

So, when you desire something, do not work by pressure or struggle; rather, withdraw into yourself and feel that it is already accomplished. The conscious mind selects the idea, but the feeling—your emotional acceptance—seals it into the subconscious, which then faithfully reproduces it in the outer world. This is the entire operation of the law.

There is one moment each day when your conscious and subconscious are nearest communion—just before sleep. In that drowsy state where thought softens and imagination is vivid, you touch the creative depths most powerfully. What you feel and imagine at that threshold sinks directly into the subconscious where it germinates unseen.

Therefore, never go to bed thinking about difficulties, arguments, or failures. The last thing you feel before sleep molds the dreamlife of your subconscious and determines what emerges tomorrow. Fill this sacred interval with visions of fulfillment. Assume the mood of your desire realized; feel the peace and satisfaction of accomplishment now. The subconscious does not argue—it accepts whatever impression is recorded and brings it forward in form.

Sleep, then, is not mere rest—it is the divine workshop where feeling becomes flesh. You prepare there what the world will later witness. Guard the doorway of sleep; let only good guests enter.
